Kiwi cider firm Zeffer has raised more than $950,000 from investors just a week into its capital-raising venture with the online marketplace Snowball Effect.
The cash will help fund Zeffer’s move from north Auckland to Hawke’s Bay where it gets most of its apples and juice. The move is expected to make freight savings of around $200,000 per year.
Expanding export markets are a prime target for Zeffer said its sales and marketing director Josh Townsend, with Asia the prime focus. A team supported by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, will be in China and Thailand this month to set up point-of-sale systems, provide customised marketing and train local sales workers.
