Snowball Effect in Malaysia

Many countries around the world (including the US and Australia) are developing regulatory frameworks to support equity crowdfunding markets.

Malaysia has recently introduced such a framework, and the Securities Commission of Malaysia invited Snowball Effect to attend and provide the keynote speech at its launch conference earlier this month.

New Zealand's equity crowdfunding market has been operating for just over 9 months, yet our market is already seen as a success internationally. The Malaysian Securities Commission was interested in leveraging the learnings from our market over this period, and hearing our views on the critical success factors. The New Zealand market has developed faster per capita in its first year than any other market that we've seen data for. This holds true for key metrics such as amounts raised, success rate of offers, and the level of professional investors involved.
