Why Kiwi expats are crucial – and how we're incentivising engagement

Snowball Effect's success in our first 20 months has exceeded our expectations - over $16.5 million of equity capital has been raised for growth oriented Kiwi companies through our marketplace (over 70% market share).

One of the factors that has driven this success has been New Zealand's extensive expat community. Bluntly put, Kiwis living overseas generally feel a strong connection to their homeland, and many of them are well connected, entrepreneurial, have disposable income, and are familiar with investing in private growth companies.

We're keen to increase our engagement with relevant Kiwi expats.

So we're starting a competition - every Kiwi residing overseas who registers as a Snowball Effect member before 30 April will go in the draw to win a $1,000 gift voucher for investment through Snowball Effect. Register here to enter the draw.

We're happy to talk to Kiwi expats wherever you are in the world, and we'd love your feedback on what you like about Snowball Effect and how we can improve. Snowball Effect managers and directors are regularly overseas, and we even have one of our team permanently based in the Netherlands, so an in person meeting might be possible. At the very least we're happy to take a phone call at any time - email [email protected] or phone +64 9 213 4282 for more information.

Finally, if you're a Kiwi expat, don't forget to register to be in to win $1,000.
